EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique is a lot like hypnotherapy with an added body component (tapping) although with EFT it is not necessary to go into a trance or have a therapist. Like Hypnotherapy with EFT you can gain access to parts of your subconscious mind safely, easily and bring about change rapidly. Everyone can do it and once you learn EFT it is a tool that you can carry forever and can be used on many different issues.

What is EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique is based on the ancient Chinese meridian system from which acupuncture has been developed and used for thousands of years.

It is a system that believes all things are energy and that mental, emotional or physical illness is caused by a disruption or blockage in the energy system of the one who is experiencing the illness or upset. Acupuncture uses needles placed into certain points of the body in order to unblock the system and allow the flow of energy. EFT uses some of the acupuncture points but intead of using needles is uses tapping with the fingers on those points, in order to remove blockages and stimulate the flow of energy.

As people experience EFT, most report a profound easing of stress producing emotions like anxiety, fear, anger, frustration, sadness and even cravings.

EFT involves a simple process of tapping on stress relief points on the body as you focus on your issue. You can do the tapping yourself and as you learn to tap away the negative emotional charge, you will have a very effective tool to help yourself overcome any areas of your life that is giving you cause for concern.

EFT for Anxiety and traditional Therapy

Many people are able to go deeper into their issues, because EFT peels back the layers of fear in much the same way as you peel an onion, so real transformation can take place.

It is as if life experiences program us or emotionally wire us to react in certain situations, EFT helps us to rewire the emotional patterns, so that we are no longer triggered in painful ways or by certain situations.

Traditional therapy can take months or even years to reach the same therapeutic effects that may take between 2- 5 sessions with eft.

EFT is not an alternative therapy it is a complementary therapy which means it can be used alongside any other form of treatment, it has no known side-affects.

If the simple EFT process is mastered by you as a self-help tool, it can be equally as powerful in your hands as it would be if you were treated by an EFT therapist with years of practice , it is therefore well worth taking the time to learn it and learn it well.

All of these are self-defeating and severely limiting beliefs, that create the very circumstances that we dislike and actually encourage us to create experiences that confirm these negative views. They can all be addressed using the EFT process.
