What happens to our loved ones when they die?

Of course no one can possibly know for sure, there is always an element of faith involved, however after 30 years experience as a medium communicating with those who have passed over my experiences have taught me to have every faith in the following.

We are all Spirits having a physical experience in a physical body, the physical body is fragile and can be destroyed in many ways. The Spirit however cannot be destroyed and will survive the physical death of the body whether we believe it or not.

Those who have passed will often spend a lot of time around the loved ones they have left behind, to help them in their grief and to help themselves in their own grief, yes, they grieve too and need time to adjust to the changes that have occurred to them in the same way that you need time to adjust.

As a practising medium over the years I have been asked many questions, I give you the most common ones below.

What happens to those who died tragically?

Those who died tragically before their time will be met by Loved ones or Spirit Guides and they will be taken to a place of Healing, where they can rest and heal from the shock and trauma.

What happens to those who suffered a long and painful illness?

Those who endured great suffering and grew weaker and weaker over a period, will be met by Loved ones or Spirit Guides and will be taken to a place of healing to regain their strength.

What happens to those who were disabled?

Those who were physically disabled will no longer have the disabilities in the spirit realm, the disability is of a physical nature not a spiritual one. They may need time to adjust to the difference, and when returning with messages they will show themselves as disabled for you to recognise them. But their physical disabilities will no longer affect them.

What happens to those who took their own life?

Those poor souls who became so confused or afraid to continue with their life on earth, will be met by Spirit Guides and will be taken to a special place of healing, where they can come to terms with the fact that they are not dead which comes as a great shock to most, they will be helped to come to terms with the issues that troubled them and receive healing until they have regained balance and harmony.

What happens to Children?

In all cases when Children die, they will be met either by a Loved one, or a specially trained Spirit Guide, they will be taken to the equivalent of a Spirit Hospital, and they will receive love and care until they are ready to either go and stay with loved ones or to be with their guides. Children will continue to grow and to develop in Spirit, as they mature spiritually much quicker in Spirit than they would have done here on the earth plane, they will often become care takers of younger siblings still on the earth plane watching over them and assisting them where possible.

What about Miscarriages or Still born babies?

These are sensitive subjects but in my experience, from the exact moment of conception, a New Life a New Spirit comes into being, now whether that Life is cut short for whatever reason before Birth or at some point after birth makes no difference, the Child (new spirit) will continue its journey in the realm of Spirit and stay linked with the earth family, often they will be acknowledged in a reading with a medium.

What happens to Pets?

In the cases of Pets, if a pet is loved or if they loved you, they too will be met by a loved one or a spirit guide and will be looked after until you arrive, Pets frequently show them self in Readings that i have given over the years, often bringing great comfort to the owners.

How long does it take before a loved one can communicate?

This is a difficult one to answer, you might as well ask how long is a piece of string? Some have been known to communicate almost immediately others take much longer, there is no average time frame, as every case is individual and depends on many complex factors. Not least of which is their ability to learn new ways to communicate and to find a medium who is on their wavelength and then "encourage " you to go see them. If you have not received a message do not assume that they do not want to communicate, the Art of Spirit Communication is a very complex skill one which they have to learn well enough to be able to impress their thoughts upon a sensitive person such as a medium.

Why has my loved one not given me a message?

Many will ask how come I have heard from everyone who has passed over accept the one I want to hear from. This can be quite upsetting for those wanting to hear from a loved one, they often feel that maybe they have done something wrong, maybe upset them or hurt them in some way and are afraid that they may not hear from them.

The art of spirit communication is a very complex thing, In the spirit realm your ability to communicate is limited to those who are on the same wavelength as you (the same frequency). The medium needs to be able to match the frequency (be on the same wavelength) as the Spirit that is trying to communicate, if the Medium is unable to match this frequency, then there can be no meaningful link or effective communication.

The spirit communicator must learn to control his frequency his vibration his wavelength to express his desire, to put across his thoughts, his ideas, his feelings, to impress upon the medium his memories, his passions, his needs he must be able to blend his wavelength his energy with that of the medium. Now you can begin to understand that the art of spirit communication is a delicate process. Sometimes our desire to hear from only one loved one can act as a block and prevent the medium from making the link, so please relax be open to what the medium is able to give even if it is from someone other than the one you want to hear from, for in relaxing and being open to whatever the medium can give you just may get what you want. If you do not then do not give up, try a different medium at some point the link will be made.
